Miami and USF will play a massive non-conference college football game for the state of Florida on Saturday.

It'll also be televised on a channel not often associated with sports: The CW.

The Hurricanes are 2-0. South Florida is 2-0, too.

And if you want to watch, you'll have to take the extra step of finding this channel.

What channel number is The CW?

The CW is a national broadcast network that partners with local affiliate stations to air its content, meaning it has a different channel number all over the United States.

The easiest way to find your channel number is at this link to The CW's station finder page, where you'll just enter in your ZIP code.

In Miami, you're looking for station WBFS. It's channel 3 on Comcast, but channel 33 on other TV providers like AT&T, DIRECTV and Dish.

In Tampa, you want WTTA. It's channel 6 on Spectrum, 13 on Comcast, 14 on Frontier and 38 on DIRECTV and Dish.

What time is Miami vs. USF on today?

  • Date: Sept. 13
  • Time: 4:30 p.m. ET

The Miami-USF game gets a bit of an unusual kickoff time, starting about an hour after most of the regular 3:30 p.m. starts.

It fits best into The CW's TV schedule this way, though.

Why is college football on The CW?

The CW has been moving into live sports programming, which is the most valuable property to have in television.

They've got a deal with the ACC, which is the conference Miami plays in, so that's how this game ended up on The CW.
