Lamar Jackson finally returned to the Ravens and was the spark they needed to start getting back on track.
Last week, Jackson was under center for the Ravens for the first time since Week 4 after sustaining a hamstring injury. He responded by throwing for 204 yards and four touchdowns on 18 completions. Notably, the dual-threat quarterback only ran the ball five times for a total of 14 yards, but still paved the way for Derrick Henry, who tallied 119 rushing yards.
The Vikings welcomed back their own quarterback in Week 9 as J.J. McCarthy saw his first game action since Week 2. The Vikings had lost back-to-back tough games, but McCarthy helped them notch an important 27-24 win over the Lions.
While McCarthy helped spark a win, it was the defense that ultimately played better, thanks to the quarterback sustaining drives. McCarthy only threw for 143 total yards, with Jordan Addison leading the team with 48 receiving yards. McCarthy will look to take another step forward if he can notch a win against the Ravens in Week 10.
