Divisional foes continue their four-game weekend series as the Minnesota Twins host the Kansas City Royals on Friday.
Both teams are trying to gradually work their way back toward .500 while gazing up at the Guardians in the AL Central standings. The Twins were almost back to the break-even mark last week before dropping series at the White Sox and Pirates. The Royals have it worse, losing 17 of their last 22, but they did take a series in Cincinnati earlier this week.
Kansas City will send veteran Michael Wacha (4-3, 3.23 ERA) to the mound Friday. He'll look to get back on track after a string of five consecutive quality starts was snapped with a rough outing against the Rangers his last time out.
The Twins will give the ball to Zebby Matthews (1-3, 4.63 ERA), who will be making his fourth start since being called up from Triple-A in mid-May. The right-hander is also coming off an ugly start that saw him surrender seven runs to the Pirates on Sunday.
Who will pick up the win Friday night? Here's everything you need to know to watch.
