The 2025-26 college basketball regular season wraps up with one of the game's best rivalries as No. 3 Michigan hosts No. 8 Michigan State on Sunday. 

The Wolverines (28-2) have rebounded nicely after falling from the top spot in the national rankings with a neutral-site loss to Duke two weeks ago, handling Minnesota at home and picking up narrow road wins at No. 10 Illinois and Iowa. After defeating the Spartans in East Lansing in January, they will try to beat MSU twice in the same season for the first time since 2017-18. 

Tom Izzo's Spartans (25-5) stumbled after that rivalry game with losses two of the next three times out but have righted themselves and enter Sunday riding a five-game winning streak. Jeremy Fears racked up 21 points and eight assists in the Spartans' win over Rutgers and leads the team with 15.3 points per game and the nation at 9.1 assists per game.
