The most anticipated head-to-head matchup of the college basketball season is here, as Darryn Peterson and No. 14 Kansas host AJ Dybantsa and No. 13 BYU on Saturday.
Projected by many to go 1-2 in the 2026 NBA Draft, the two freshmen have lived up to the hype they earned coming out of high school aside from one hiccup: Peterson's trouble staying on the court thanks to hamstring and ankle issues. He has played in only 10 games for Kansas (15-5) but is averaging 21.6 points and 4.6 rebounds per game when he's on the floor.
Dybantsa, meanwhile, has carried the Cougars (17-3) to their best season in years, averaging 23.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 32 minutes per game. BYU dropped a heartbreaker at home against top-ranked Arizona on Monday and will look to bounce back against another blue blood.
