The Indiana Fever had championship aspirations in 2025 as Caitlin Clark entered her second WNBA season.
Those dreams are distant now as Clark was ruled out for the season with a groin injury. She played just 13 games, averaging 16.5 points, 8.8 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game.
The team will be without her and Sophie Cunningham for the playoffs, putting a lot of pressure on Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell to perform against the Dream.
Atlanta is a formidable foe, tying the Aces for the second-best record in the WNBA. It ended the season on a six-game win streak, giving the team proper momentum ahead of the postseason. The Dream feature a well-rounded team led by Allisha Gray and Rhyne Howard.
Gray and Howard average 18.4 and 17.5 points per game, respectively. They're joined by Brionna Jones and Jordin Canada in the starting lineup, who average 12.8 and 11.2 points per game, respectively. Brittney Griner rounds out the lineup with 9.8 points per game, nearly having a full starting five averaging in double figures.
The Fever vs. Dream series is a best-of-three, with the winner playing the winner of the Aces vs. Storm series.
