The Cardinals will be looking for some payback as they host Panthers in Week 2 clash of the 2025 NFL season on Sunday at the State Farm Stadium.
The Cardinals have painful memories against the Panthers, while trailing 15-6 in the all-time head-to-head series. Carolina knocked out Arizona in back-to-back postseasons during the 2015 Wild Card playoffs and 2016 NFC Championship.
Last year, the Panthers also inflicted a 36-30 overtime loss over the Cardinals that effectively ended their playoff hopes in 2024. But the story is different in 2025.
Panthers quarterback Bryce Young, the key player in Carolina's rebuild, had a rough 2025 debut with three turnovers, two interceptions and a tipped pass that sealed the 26-10 loss to the Jaguars.
Meanwhile, the Cardinals began the season with a 20-13 win over the Saints, where a sharp Kyler Murray completed 21 of 29 passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns. The star Arizona quarterback will look for a rebound performance when he faces the Panthers, who held him to just 63 yards in last year’s heartbreaking overtime loss.
