Both Arkansas and UCLA have been relegated to the loser's bracket of the Women's College World Series, and only one team will be able to save its season when the two face off on Friday.
Arkansas suffered a rather brutal defeat Thursday night, with Nebraska's Ava Kuszak hitting a walk-off homer in the 10th inning to call game. The Razorbacks had led twice against the Huskers throughout the game, but couldn't finish it out.
Meanwhile, the No. 8-seeded Bruins took on top seed Alabama to open their WCWS campaign. Despite crushing back-to-back home runs off Jocelyn Briski in the third inning, UCLA was unable to capitalize and eventually fell 6-3 to the Crimson Tide.
