What Celtics' Jaylen Brown reportedly feels about being traded for Giannis Antetokounmpo

A long journey of 10 years will come to a tough end for Jaylen Brown. The Boston Celtics front office led by Brad Stevens have decided to form their Giannis Antetokounmpo trade package around the longest-tenured member of their organization. While many hoped that the deal would fall through and the 18-time champions get their star back, a final verdict has been made public about him being traded away to another team if the Milwaukee Bucks deal fails. How does Brown feel about this? Brian Windhorst claims to have an answer.

How Brown feels about ending Celtics tenure due to Antetokounmpo and Bucks trade

Apparently, Jaylen Brown has slowly accepted that he will no longer play alongside Jayson Tatum and operate with Brad Stevens. On ESPN's Get Up, Brian Windhorst unveiled how the Celtics star is currently feeling with all this speculation due to the trade with Bucks for Giannis Antetokounmpo.

"I believe if the Bucks choose the Miami Heat offer, Jaylen Brown will get traded somewhere else. They are going to move on here…. From what I understand, Jaylen Brown is accepting this and realizing it’s a chance to turn the page and may be getting his own team," the NBA Insider declared.

There is still no clear picture of what type of roster Brown will inherit with the Bucks after this trade. But, he will have some competent players to work with like Myles Turner, Bobby Portis Jr., and Gary Trent Jr. among others. Notably, he was supposed to fully inherit the keys to the Celtics after making an unexpected 2017 Eastern Conference Finals run under the leadership of Isaiah Thomas. Months later, Tatum was drafted third overall and they had to equally share the load.

If the deal between the Celtics and Bucks do push through, Brown will be the sole star of the 2021 NBA champions. He gets to build around the momentum of his 2025-26 NBA MVP candidacy run and maybe even get a shot at finally winning the award. However, the championship window for Brown and the Bucks will be quite tight. He is now entering 30 years old and also carries a hefty $303.7 million supermax contract that might prevent them from adding a secondary star. A contract renegotiation could be in the cards but only time will tell how this era of Bucks basketball post-Antetokounmpo will pan out.
