The Cleveland Browns might have one of the more interesting quarterback rooms in the entire NFL. While most other teams have a set starter, the Browns' starting job is still up in the air.
Shedeur Sanders looks to be the favorite, but as Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports, the Browns have drafted Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green.
After the Browns drafted a quarterback, it's fair to wonder what this Green selection means for Sanders, Dillon Gabriel, and Deshaun Watson.

What Browns' pick of Taylen Green means for Shedeur Sanders
The Browns drafted a quarterback in Green, adding a new face to the QB depth chart that might complicate things for Sanders and the rest of the depth chart.
But there is a lot more uncertainty with Green. He is super athletic, running a ridiculously impressive 4.36 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, with a 43.5'' vertical jump, and an 11'2'' broad jump.
Green is 6-foot-5, 227 pounds, and had some incredible athletic testing. He's someone who could be a fun gadget weapon for the Browns' offense.
But, when it comes to the team's starting quarterback come 2026, Green likely won't win the competition for the starting job, as he's a lot more volatile than some other quarterbacks.

In college this past season, he threw for 2,714 yards with 19 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He also ran for 777 yards and eight touchdowns on 139 attempts.
Green is an athletic dual-threat quarterback and could be a fun option for the Browns' offense this upcoming season. However, his odds of landing the starting job are slim.
But the upside for Green is incredibly high, and if he were to reach his potential as a passer and maintain his elite athleticism, then the Browns might have a gem on their hands. It just might not be right away for the 2026 Browns starting job.
