What Aaron Donald's wife really meant by her hilarious reply has Rams fans worried

1 hour ago 3

The Los Angeles Rams recently traded for Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett. This move immediately started endless chatter about a potential return for Aaron Donald.

Donald retired in March 2024 after a solid 10 years with the Rams that included three Defensive Player of the Year awards and a Super Bowl ring. He walked away at 32 as arguably the most dominant interior defensive lineman in NFL history.

And as expected, his early retirement shocked the entire NFL community. But then Garrett showed up in LA, and it recently changed the conversation.

When Pat McAfee contacted Donald about a potential comeback, the former lineman did not dismiss the idea. Donald texted McAfee that he needs to "see if that fire can light back up." NFL insider Jordan Schultz also shared a text from Donald confirming he is considering the idea, noting the appeal of playing in the upcoming Super Bowl at SoFi Stadium.

Rams head coach Sean McVay didn't exactly discourage it either. When asked about Donald's potential return on Tuesday, McVay said, "If Aaron decides he wants to dust them off at the age of 35, I bet you he could still do it at a pretty high clip."

Then came the message from his wife that stopped everyone cold. Erica Donald took to X and responded to the growing speculation with just three words: "Y'all are hilarious."

And immediately, folks got worried and a handful of them were literally begging Erica to allow her man to return to the gridiron for just one more year.

One fan begged her, writing, “Erica, queen of them all… please let the mister give it one more go!”

Another worried fan asked, “MRS.Donald can Aaron come out and play pretty please.”

The third one penned, “6 games max 😭 that’s all we need.”

A fourth fan added, “Please erica put some fuel into the man. The fans want it. We CRAVE it.”

The sixth one noted, “Aaron Donald 1 year with the Rams, Please Erica 🙏.”

Aaron and Erica met around 2015 when Erica worked for the Rams organization. They began dating in 2019, married a couple of years later, and have four children: Jaeda, AJ, Aaric, and Aali.

When Donald retired, he stated his main goal was to spend more time with his family. While Erica’s post did not clarify Donald's plans, it kept the conversation going. Between Donald's texts to insiders, Sean McVay's open door and Erica's social media response, the rumors remain active.
