Esquivel currently serves on the West Hollywood Social Justice Advisory Board — a panel that advises the city council on social and racial equity issues.
She was sworn in back in May by incoming West Hollywood Vice Mayor Danny Hang, footage on social media shows.
Esquivel reportedly resigned from her board position in the wake of her arrest.
Efforts to reach Esquivel or members of the board also weren’t successful. The Post reached out to the sheriff’s office but didn’t immediately hear back.
Esquivel, meanwhile, was released on a $50,000 bond, jail records show.
