Wendy Osefo’s social media post on the day she reported her home was allegedly burglarized — which authorities now claim was fraud on her and her husband Eddie Osefo’s part — is raising eyebrows.
In an Instagram post dated April 7, 2024, Wendy shared pictures of her cuddled up with Eddie. According to X user suttonsroller, who resurfaced the post following the couple’s arrest for multiple counts of fraud, Wendy chose Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s “Bonnie & Clyde” to play in the background.
The song has since been removed, but Wendy’s caption quoting Jay-Z’s lyrics remain at the time of publishing.
“🎶 Put us together, how they gon’ stop both of us? Whatever she lacks, I’m right over her shoulder 🎶 -JayZ,” she wrote.
The hit 2002 song title references real-life couple Bonnie Parker and Cyde Barrow, who became infamous for their bank robberies and multiple murders in 1932.
Critics roasted the reality star for the song choice, though she and Eddie have not been convicted of any crime.
One comment reads, “why does it feel like she knew what she was doing using that song? laughing in all our faces.”
“OK…SO she thinks this is a game…..well, play play time is over and the indictments are in,” another comment reads.

“Noooo this is getting more embarrassing by the hour,” one user expressed.
Another X comment reads, “OMG That is so childish! What are we in high school?? Glorifying your own criminal behavior?? Gross.”
More comments on Lipstick Alley’s post about Wendy’s April 2024 Instagram include, “She’s so corny, even in her bad girl era. Scammers are so icky and to be arrogant about it in a post like this is a choice. This isn’t their first time, just first time getting caught.”
Another comment bluntly reads in part, “SHAMELESS.”
Wendy and Eddie were arrested on multiple charges of fraud on Thursday, Page Six confirmed. They were released Friday after placing a $50,000 bond each.
The charges stem from a burglary the couple reported in April 2024, in which Wendy, 41, claimed several of her designer bags and jewelry were stolen while they were on vacation in Jamaica.
But authorities cast doubt on the validity of the theft and accused the couple of lying in order to obtain insurance money in docs obtained by Us Weekly.
The allegations include Wendy being seen on social media wearing a ring she had claimed was stolen, as investigators discovered at the same time that the Osefos were “burdened by substantial debt.”
A rep for the Osefos told Page Six Friday that the two “look forward to their day in court.”
