After the TNF appetizer, the fantasy football main course for Week 12 is nearly here. The Kansas City Chiefs will face the Indianapolis Colts in a matchup that has put the Chiefs up against the wall. The playoffs will not yet be out of reach if the team loses, but they will be dangerously close to not being allowed to lose for the rest of the 2025 season.
Of course, many fantasy football managers find themselves in a similar spot, needing perfection. Luckily, Sportskeeda is here to help. Here's a look at who you should start and sit from both teams heading into the contest.

Daniel Jones was limited in practice on Thursday due to a calf injury, per the Indianapolis Colts' official injury report, but Jones has been a quality fantasy football quarterback all season long. As such, he is worthy of starting again, even if he won't be 100% healthy.
Additionally, Jonathan Taylor is a no-brainer as the leading rusher in the NFL. Deeper cuts that make sense are Alec Pierce, who has remained consistent with more than ten points in three of his last four games.
Travis Kelce isn't the same player in 2025 as he was five years ago, but the tight end has been reliable by tight end standards over the last three games. As such, strongly consider starting him. With Patrick Mahomes' back against the wall, expect plenty of targets for ol' reliable.
Isiah Pacheco was limited in practice this week, so expect Kareem Hunt to see plenty of action, even if Pacheco gets on the field.
Must Starts
- Patrick Mahomes
- Travis Kelce
- Kareem Hunt
- Tyler Warren
- Alec Pierce
- Jonathan Taylor
- Daniel Jones

Rashee Rice at Kansas City Chiefs v Buffalo Bills - NFL 2025 - Source: GettyWhile there are plenty of names worth starting on both sides, there are some names that should be avoided. Rashee Rice might be the biggest surprise to some, but as he faces Sauce Gardner, expect at least a truncated total of production for Rice.
Hollywood Brown has hardly been a fantasy football factor this season, and there's no reason to break the habit of benching him for the contest. Xavier Worthy is also less than 100% healthy, making the choice to start him a sketchy one.
As for the Colts, Josh Downs started a potentially disastrous downturn in his last game, catching one pass for three yards. As such, you should strongly consider steering clear.
Must Sits
- Xavier Worthy
- Hollywood Brown
- JuJu Smith-Schuster
- Rashee Rice
- Mo-Alie Cox
- Josh Downs
