The Denver Broncos will host the New England Patriots at Empower Field at Mile High on Sunday for the AFC Championship Game and weather is expected to be a factor.
And that's typically the case at this time of year. The good news for both teams is that they are accustomed to playing in the elements, so bad weather won't negatively impact one team more than the other.
With that in mind, let's take a look at the full weather forecast ahead of kickoff and identify what the biggest concerns are.
Broncos vs. Patriots weather forecast
According to Accuweather.com, the temperature is expected to be around 25 degrees at kickoff, but the "RealFeel" temperature will be in the teens to single digits.
While both teams are used to playing in cold weather, such frigid temperatures still makes things at least a bit more difficult.
Some snow is expected over the first two hours of the game before tapering off by the second half, but only 0.17 inches is expected in the first hour.
Wind should not be much of a factor, as gusts are expected to reach a high of 15 MPH and usually 20 MPH or more is when it starts making things difficult for the passing attacks and kickers.
All in all, it's not a terrible situation, and especially as compared to what could have been had the game been at Gillette Stadium, which is expected to get blasted by a winter storm that could bring upwards of 10 inches of snow.
