If that controversial catch-turned-interception for Brandin Cooks had been ruled in the Buffalo Bills' favor, they almost certainly would've kicked a game-winning field goal and eliminated the Denver Broncos.
And if that had happened, this weekend's AFC Championship Game would be an all-AFC East affair between the Bills and the New England Patriots.
And that would've meant snow, lots of it.
A huge snowstorm is moving through the eastern part of the country on Sunday. It'll crush Buffalo, yes, but it'll also crush the Boston area, which would've hosted the game.

The Pats are the 2-seed in the AFC, and the Bills were the 6-seed. If they met in the AFC title game, it would've been played at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough. The snow would've accumulated early and often.
Instead, though, it was ruled an interception for Ja'Quan McMillan.
The Broncos then went down and got their own game-winning field goal.
Bo Nix was hurt on the final drive, and so Jarrett Stidham will start at QB for Denver.

Most notably, the game will be played at a mile above sea level, in Denver. It's going to be cold, and there could be a bit of snow, but the snowstorm raging across the country is to the east, not hitting the mountains.
So close to Bills-Patriots in a snow bowl.
Instead, Buffalo fans, if they can bear to watch, will do so without their beloved Bills on the field.
