About two months ago I asked this community for advice about if we should bring Fluffy Girl with us when we moved. I am so grateful to everyone who helped--it really put things in perspective for us.

Moving weekend was absolute chaos and by late Sunday night, we thought we had missed our chance. We had spent the last few hours packing up the last of our stuff, cleaning, and trying to convince Fluffy Girl to come inside

for dinner with no luck. She was too freaked out at the sight of an empty house. My fiancé and I were running out of ideas, hope, and time. And we were honestly heartbroken.

As we're standing in the kitchen talking about locking up, I see Fluffy Girl out of the corner of my eye. She's just inside the front door eating the food we set out for her. I told my fiancé not to make

any sudden movements--this was our last chance. Being the stealthy one, he managed to quickly shut the door without her even noticing. We couldn't believe it.

We put her in the carrier and drove to our new house. She was surprisingly calm the whole way, and once she saw all our furniture and our kitties, she seemed comfortable right away.

I'm honestly shocked at how well she's adjusting. She hasn't cried to go outside at all, she's using the litter box perfectly (Dr Elsey's cat attract litter was a great recommendation), and she has

The first 48 hours were a little rough, but now all of our babies seem happy and settled. They have more room, an enclosed patio to enjoy, and many new things to explore.

Thank you again to everyone who encouraged us--we're so happy she's finally home with us

wampyre1 She knew she was the last thing you had to pack before moving.

  • Her plan was to come all along, she just waited for the right moment. The timing was too perfect to be random. After keeping her distance the whole time, she walked in right when it mattered most and made the decision for everyone. It feels like she knew exactly what she was doing. She took her time, chose her moment, and made sure she ended up exactly where she wanted to be.

aquababez Yesss! Love this update! So happy she joined the crew

  • Now she’s part of the furmily and it just feels right. No more hanging outside or keeping her distance, she has her spot, her people, and a place that’s hers. She’s settling in, getting comfortable, and finally living the good indoor life.

Looking-Ahead55 This made my day! Thank you for not giving up on her and taking her with you. She's beautiful! Enjoy her & your new home!

  • A new home and a new cat is a win all around. They get to start fresh in a new place and she gets a safe space indoors with people who already care about her. It worked out perfectly for everyone involved. She didn’t just move houses with them, she became part of the whole setup. That’s the kind of upgrade that really counts.
