George Pickens is missing this week.
The Dallas Cowboys are holding OTAs, but the mercurial wide receiver isn't in attendance.
Pickens has been in the headlines plenty this offseason after his contract was up at the end of the most recent campaign. The Cowboys traded for Pickens from the Steelers knowing he had just one year left on his deal.
And then Pickens went out and had by far the best season of his career. He set himself up to get paid.
The Cowboys slapped the franchise tag on Pickens, and they've refused to negotiate a long-term deal. It's probably not Pickens' favorite move ever.
Despite that, Pickens is actually missing from OTAs for another reason.

Why isn't George Pickens at OTAs?
Pickens is missing OTAs in part because he's hosting a football camp this week:
George Pickens isn’t attending OTAs. Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer said he talked to Pickens yesterday. He has a football camp this weekend.

Schottenheimer alludes to the real moments that matter there. As long as Pickens is at the mandatory stuff, there isn't too much for Dallas to worry about.
If Pickens starts skipping those bigger moments as the season moves closer, then a discussion may need to be had about how the Cowboys can solve their Pickens conundrum. For now, they'll at least act like there's no concern.
