Barcelona ace Lamine Yamal has addressed rumors of infidelity and has confirmed his breakup with Nicki Nicole. Nicole is an Argentinian singer who was rumored to be romantically involved with the teenage sensation.

Recently, it was reported that the Spanish wonderkid has cheated on Nicole with Italian influencer Anna Gegnoso during a recent trip to Milan. They reportedly had a brief relationship back in December 2024 and were spotted together walking around La Roca Village, near Barcelona.

Amid reports of infidelity, Lamine Yamal has now confirmed that he is no longer together with Nicole. He said, as quoted by BarcaTimes:

“We [him/Nicki] are NOT together anymore. It was not for any infidelity, we have simply parted ways and that's it. Everything that is coming out has nothing to do with us. I’ve not been unfaithful or gotten with someone else.”

While Yamal is already regarded as one of the best players in the world, he has often made headlines for the wrong reasons. He has often been drawn into controversies for his antics on and off the pitch and his personal life.

The 18-year-old has struggled with persistent injury problems this season and has missed five games. He has made only six appearances for Barcelona across competitions so far this campaign scoring thrice and producing five assists.

Barcelona fear Lamine Yamal is suffering from an incurable injury like Lionel Messi

Barcelona star Lamine Yamal is reportedly suffering from Pubalgia, an injury Lionel Messi also suffered from. The teenage prodigy has been in and out of the team with groin injuries this season and was visibly struggling in Barca's 2-1 loss against Real Madrid.

As reported by SPORT, the Catalan giants fear that the injury could be incurable and the pain is chronic. The injury is reportedly prevalent among footballers and a former Barca physio opened up on the problem. He said:

"We can say that there are multiple factors that cause this pain in the pubis. This can be caused by their growth stage, in which their body statics have changed and there have been muscles that have suffered as they grow. We will have to live with it and we will have to do preventive and compensatory work to give it guarantees to be able to play at the highest level."

Lionel Messi spoke regarding his problems with Pubalgia six years earlier. The eight-time Ballon d'Or winner stated:

"Pubalgia is complicated. I suffer from it for a while now, I do little training and I can not play all the games. It is not a problem that can be solved overnight. I feel better now, but I still have not recovered and I still need treatment."

It will be interesting to see how Lamine Yamal deals with his injury problems and whether he can take inspiration from Lionel Messi. Messi went on to become arguably the greatest player ever despite suffering from the discomfort and Barcelona will hope that Yamal does the same.
