Carlos Alcaraz faced an unexpected backlash from fans, who booed and hurled insults at him ahead of the ATP Finals. The tournament is scheduled to commence on November 9 and will conclude on November 16, 2025.

Alcaraz and fellow ATP stars, including Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev, Ben Shelton, Taylor Fritz, and Alex de Minaur, have reached Turin. The players met their fans during a blue carpet event at Piazza Castello on Friday. Amid this, a video has gone viral in which the Spaniard could be seen being booed by the Turin crowd.

Shockingly, fans weren't exactly excited to see the tennis star and booed him as he entered his hotel. The video's caption read:

"Insults to Carlos Alcaraz at the hotel entrance. You are embarrassing and the shame of the tennis world. Clowns." (Translated)

Alcaraz's latest run was at the Paris Finals, where he shockingly faced an early exit. He was defeated by Cameron Norrie in the first round of the tournament. Shortly after that upset, the Spaniard expressed his feelings about his performance, revealing that he was disappointed with himself.

"But today, even in the first set, that I won, I just felt like I could do much more than what I did. I didn't feel well today. A lot of mistakes... I had no feeling at all. I'm really disappointed about my level today, and it is what it is," said Alcaraz, as quoted by Tennis 365.

The ATP Finals are about to commence, and Novak Djokovic has yet to confirm whether he will play. Carlos Alcaraz was asked to share his opinion on the Serb's decision in the pre-tournament press conference of the season-ending ATP Finals.

Stating that the 38-year-old has earned the place to take his time, the World No. 1 said: (9:08 onwards)

"Well, no, I mean it's obviously it is a bad situations for everyone, but, as Taylor said, he has the right to do it. He has played this tournament many years. He has won this tournament many years. Obviously, for the promoter for everything is not the the right situations, but, it is his decision and we had to go with it and and accept it," said Alcaraz.

Carlos Alcaraz had an incredible run this season, having won eight titles, including two Grand Slams. He is set to face Alex de Minaur in his group stage match.
