It has been a wild week for UFC star Ethyn Ewing and it got a little bit better last night. The 27-year-old made his UFC debut on short notice and took up a fight against Malcolm Wellmaker.

Ewing accepted the fight on 48 hours' notice, and many expected the American to lose to Wellmaker, given the lack of time.

However, the 27-year-old produced one of the performances of UFC 322 and beat the heavily favored Wellmaker.

While Ewing didn’t win any bonuses from Dana White, he has been celebrated by other parties.

Ethyn Ewing already back to day job after UFC 322

Time and work don’t stop for anyone, and Ethyn Ewing was back at his regular day job just five days or so after UFC 322.

‘The Professor Finesser’ seemed to be in great spirits after the win. A clip was circulated on social media with Ewing walking out to his team of construction workers. Ewing also gave a small speech to the team and they seemed to enjoy it.

The American works in the construction business and partly owns a safety consulting company (H/T MMA Mania).

The 27-year-old’s performance was lauded by several big UFC names. Taking up a fight on short notice was already a daunting task but putting up a great performance and getting the win was the icing on the cake for Ewing.

Ewing is rightfully soaking in all the adulation coming from all corners, and it is to be seen when he returns to UFC action next.
