Josh Allen had a night to forget against the Houston Texans as he was sacked a staggering eight times in their Thursday Night Football game. It was the most times Allen has been sacked in a game this season, doubling the previous high of four against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 6.
Will Anderson Jr. and the Texans' pass rush had a field day against Allen in the NRG Stadium in Houston. Allen finished with a stat line of 253 passing yards, zero passing touchdowns, and two interceptions. He ended the game with a 26.1 QBR.
Josh Allen's Buffalo Bills remain second in AFC East after Week 12 setback
Thursday's loss sees the Buffalo Bills fail to cover against the New England Patriots in the hunt for the top spot in the AFC East. The Josh Allen-led Bills are 7-4 this season, and are now 1-2 in their last three games.
The New England Patriots are soaring in the current campaign under new head coach Mike Vrabel and MVP frontrunner Drake Maye. Robert Kraft's side is on an eight-game winning streak and is favored to make it nine against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 12.
The Bills have dominated the AFC East since the departure of future Hall of Famer Tom Brady. However, this season has seen a drop off from their typically high standards, and they're now in the running for a wildcard spot rather than an automatic playoff berth as divisional winners.
Next up for the Bills is a Week 13 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. They'll then close out their campaign with games against the Cincinnati Bengals, the Patriots, the Cleveland Browns, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the New York Jets. The Patriots will face off against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 12. The rest of their 2025 regular-season games are against the New York Giants, Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets, and Miami Dolphins.
