The NBA got its first big fight of the season on Wednesday, when Yves Missi got into it with Jerami Grant. Missi and Grant were ejected for their roles in the fight, and it will be interesting to see if the league hands out suspensions. Bench players are not allowed to leave courtside when a brawl happens, or they could face suspension.
With the New Orleans Pelicans and Portland Trail Blazers tied at 39 midway through the second quarter, Missi and Grant battled for position to get the rebound. They were grabbing each other when Missi tried to push off Grant, who was grabbing his left arm and dragging him under the basket.
Referees were blowing their whistles hard when things escalated quickly with some pushing and shoving. Pelicans and Blazers players quickly tried to stop the fight from turning into a brawl, and thankfully, cooler heads prevailed.

New Orleans' coaching staff did their best to prevent any bench players from approaching the situation, though one player could face a suspension from the NBA after walking into the pile.
However, technically, he didn't enter the court since the fight broke out outside the lines under the basket, near the cameramen.
Here's the video of the fight.
