The Memphis Grizzlies’ Desmond Bane trade has the whole league ablaze with NBA trade rumors. If the Grizzlies are parting with one of their best players, could more Grizzlies trades be on the horizon? No Memphis Grizzlies trade rumors have indicated that they are going to trade their other two stars, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Ja Morant, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. Despite their rivalry, the Golden State Warriors could be a suitor if one of those stars becomes available. We look at one Warriors trade idea to see if the Warriors should make a trade with the Grizzlies.
The Grizzlies-Warriors trade proposal from @ButlerIIIMuse on Twitter looks like this:
Warriors Receive: Jaren Jackson Jr., 2030 FRP (lottery protected)
Grizzlies Receive: Brandin Podziemski, Jonathon Kuminga Sign-And-Trade, 2026 FRP, 2028 FRP, 2029 FRP, 2031 FRP
This is one bold trade proposal. The Warriors would be giving up their two best young players as well as the equivalent of three first-round picks to get Jaren Jackson Jr.
That being said, this JJJ trade could be totally worth it. JJJ is only 25 years old, and already has a Defensive Player of the Year award.
More importantly, he would be the ideal fit next to Draymond Green in the frontcourt. They would be a defensive duo that would absolutely dominate the league. JJJ could learn a lot from Draymond as well, hopefully, how to defend without fouling.
JJJ is also a knockdown shooter from three. This would allow him to space the floor for the Warriors, giving Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler more room to operate.
