Warriors' Steph Curry made a crazy discovery during his legendary pregame warmup

Stephen Curry's pregame warmup is the stuff of legend. People arrive early to Golden State Warriors' games just to watch Steph get loose.

Those watching recently may have noticed Curry making a remarkably insightful discovery in the middle of his warmup.

Curry was dribbling through the paint and lost control of the ball. And, well, this couldn't have been Curry's fault, right?

In this case, absolutely true.

Curry took a look at the floor, grabbed a ball, and started bouncing it in different spots.

At the end of his experiment, Curry had correctly concluded that there was a dead spot in the restricted area of the paint.

Here's how he figured that out:

The greats pick up on the tiniest details.

Larry Bird was said to go bounce a basketball on every floorboard in the Boston Garden so he knew which spot his opponent's dribble wouldn't quite bounce the same, allowing him a chance at a steal.

Curry won't spend a lot of time dribbling right underneath the basket, so this weakened spot on the court probably isn't crucial for him to know. But once it presented itself, he had to figure it out, and his investigation was successful.
