Warriors reportedly making calls about Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo, despite unlikelihood of trade right now

The Milwaukee Bucks haven’t played the type of basketball they were hoping for throughout the season, but a lot of that can be due to the fact that Giannis Antetokounmpo simply hasn’t been on the court much.

Antetokounmpo has seemingly made it known that he isn’t exactly happy with everything going on in Milwaukee, but from his perspective, it’s also a bit unfair.

Regardless, it doesn’t sound like the Bucks want to move on from him, and although anything is possible in this league, it doesn’t seem like anything is imminent on that front.

Despite that reality, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype had the latest on the Golden State Warriors’ pursuit of the superstar, adding that despite the unlikelihood of him being traded, the Warriors and other teams around the league are still calling.

“In fact, rival executives interested in trading for Antetokounmpo who’ve spoken with HoopsHype said they don’t believe Milwaukee wants to move him right now. With that said, it’s unlikely to keep teams such as the New York Knicks, Miami Heat, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, San Antonio Spurs, Atlanta Hawks, Minnesota Timberwolves, Houston Rockets, and others from continuing to monitor Antetokounmpo’s situation to varying degrees, looking ahead,” he wrote

It’s tough to find the perfect package from the Warriors’ perspective.

Not many teams around the league want Jonathan Kuminga, so unless Golden State is willing to part ways with other key pieces, there will likely be stronger offers available for the Bucks.
