The NBA world is going to patiently wait for LeBron James to make his decision on whether he will return for another season. The NBA Playoffs did not go the way he wanted, especially with Luka Dončić getting hurt.

They were swept by the Oklahoma City Thunder, who outmatched them on the court. After the series, James made it clear that there has been no decision on his future.

“With my future, I don't know," James said after Game 4. "Obviously still fresh from losing. I don't know. I don't know what the future holds for me, obviously. As it stands right now tonight, I've got a lot of time. I'll sit back like I think I said last year after we lost to Minnesota, I'll go back and recalibrate with my family and talk with them and spend some time with them. When the time comes, obviously, you guys will know what I decide to do."

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith believes James should return for a farewell tour.

“I think he will be back next year. He should be back next year because the brother deserves his farewell tour. LeBron James should be celebrated city to city. I think his farewell tour should be comparable to that of MJ. He’s done that much for the league,” Smith said.

If James does return, it is still a matter of where he would go. Bleacher Report’s Erin Pincus believes he could sign with the Golden State Warriors.

“Warriors sign James at $30.8 million over two years with a player option, starting at the $15 million non-taxpayer mid-level exception. Bonus: Porziņģis re-signs on a two-year contract with a player option. The amount depends on player movement, as low as $7.5 million in the first year to fit within the Warriors' means,” Pincus wrote.

This would give Steph Curry, Draymond Green, and James a chance to make a run at the NBA Finals together. There have been rumblings of them potentially teaming up, and this scenario would certainly be a blockbuster.

James’ contract last season was worth $101 million, but he is not expected to command that number at his next stop. The Warriors are looking to make one final push for a championship, and adding two of the greatest players of all time would certainly increase their chances.
