Warriors given ideal LeBron James news despite rumors getting quiet

If I had to guess where LeBron James would land, I'd say the Golden State Warriors are one of the top three teams he could end up with. 

Right now, it feels like the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, and Warriors are all fighting for James. I'd say the Cavaliers are the favorites, while the Heat might also be enticing him because of Giannis Antetokounmpo and the chance to play in Miami. 

Ultimately, however, it still feels like Golden State has a shot, and that's just as important as anything else at the moment.

“A third (and bow-tying) marriage with the Cleveland Cavaliers continues to be regarded as “the scenario to beat” by the the teams pursuing James that have been most frequently mentioned: Golden State, Miami, Philadelphia, Minnesota and Denver.

“To beat. Not necessarily unbeatable,” Marc Stein wrote.

The Warriors are really going to have to put in their best effort to land James, and that's because he's older in his career. 

Had this been the Warriors team of the past, when Stephen Curry and Draymond Green were in their primes, it would have been easy to see why he'd want to play for Golden State. However, that isn't the case any longer, so the Warriors better show some effort to bring him in.
