The England boss is set to start Morgan Rogers for just the second time in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Athletic's David Ornstein broke this lineup news about three hours before kickoff.

Rogers started the group stage finale against Panama, and he has subbed into all but one of England's other matches.

The Aston Villa star had 10 goals and six assists in the English Premier League season.

This will be the biggest assignment of his career.

Why is Morgan Rogers starting?

England must be seeking a different look in its lineup and attacking style.

Generally, it's been a 4-2-3-1 for the Three Lions, with two natural wingers.

Rogers isn't a natural wing player, but he'll at least nominally be one on this day.

The presence of Rogers should allow Jude Bellingham more room to roam, and it also gives England yet another danger-man for set pieces.

Ornstein's report indicates that Rogers will start on the right.

That means that both Noni Madueke and Bukayo Saka will begin the match on the bench.

They'll both be dynamic options as substitutes if Tuchel needs to call on them later.
