It was another week in Tennessee high school football full of key performers making an impact for their respective squads.
Here’s a look at those top individual performances from Week 4. Also, readers can now vote on who they think should be the Tennessee Player of the Week. Vote as many times as you like until 11:59 p.m. CT on Sunday, and the winner will be announced next week.
Top performances from Week 4 in Tennessee high school football
Nolan Adams, Clay County: A quarterback/defensive back, Adams threw three TD passes and had a pick-six on defense in Clay County’s 34-0 win against Monterey.
Cam Blanton, Providence Academy: A freshman, Blanton passed for 367 yards and five TDs and even added a pair of rushing TDs in a 48-27 win against West Greene.
Will Butler, Green Hill: In a 37-35 win against Centennial, Butler picked off two passes and registered nine total tackles, including three solo stops.
Condis Cherry, Alcoa: Cherry rushed for 156 yards on just eight carries and had a TD as the Tornadoes remained undefeated after a 35-0 win at Knoxville West.
Lane Clement, Science Hill: Clement was 16-of-22 passing for 188 yards and three TDs - all going to three different receivers - in the Hilltoppers’ 35-0 win against Bearden, moving them to 4-0 on the season.
Seth Dennie, St. Benedict: Dennie ran for 232 yards on 19 carries and had two TDs in his team’s 52-14 win against Kingsbury.
Nix Fullen, Tipton-Rosemark Academy: Fullen rushed for 248 yards on 21 carries and scored four TDs in a 49-7 win against First Assembly Christian.
Micah Godfrey, East Hickman: A running back, Godfrey rushed for 288 yards and four TDs in his team’s 44-34 win against Forrest.
Walker Gouge, Cloudland: In the Highlanders’ 60-20 win against Hancock County, Gouge had a pick-six and a fumble recovery for another TD.
Barron Harkleroad, Tennessee High: Harkleroad caught six passes for 182 yards and a TD in the Vikings’ 35-0 win at Cocke County.
Thomas Heffner, Melrose: Heffner threw for five TDs and added two more scores in Melrose’s 44-0 win against Bolton.
Jaden Lark, Blackman: Lark picked off two passes, returning one 35 yards for a pick-six, and also returned a blocked field goal 80 yards for another TD as the Blaze moved to 4-0 after a 42-7 win against Nolensville.
Maurice “Duece” Lawrence, Jackson Christian: Lawrence rushed for 145 yards on 11 carries with three TDs as the Eagles defeated St. George’s, 40-10.
Kaedyn Marable, Battle Ground Academy: Marable completed 90% of his passes (17-of-19) for 329 yards and six TDs, and he also added a rushing TD - all in just two quarters - in BGA’s 68-28 school against Greenwich (Connecticut) Country Day.
Chaz Martin, Wilson Central: A senior tailback, Martin ran for 223 yards and two TDs as the Wildcats bested James Lawson, 12-3.
Camren Miller, Macon County: Miller ran back two kickoffs for TDs and also had a 45-yard interception return for another score in his team’s 44-7 win against Trousdale County.
Preston Mitchell, Houston County: The running back accumulated 229 yards on 17 carries and two TDs as the Fighting Irish downed Wayne County, 39-14.
Cooper Newman, Sevier County: The Smoky Bears’ QB was 15-of-20 passing for 305 yards and five TDs in a 48-0 win against Daniel Boone.
Carter Pettigrew, Lawrence County: A junior tailback, Pettigrew rushed for 229 yards on 25 carries and had two TDs, including a 53-yard score, in the Wildcats’ 21-14 win against Spring Hill.
Cody Scalf, Sycamore: Scalf passed for 173 yards and four TDs in the War Eagles’ 78-6 win against Stewart County.
Cole Sims, White County: A tailback, Sims tallied 133 yards and scored three TDs in White County’s 24-13 win against Tullahoma.
Tay Starks, Munford: Starks ran for 307 yards on 24 carries and also threw for 95 yards and a TD in a 49-35 win against Woodford County, Ky.
Jackson Stroup, Gallatin: Stroup completed 21-of-26 passes and finished with 353 total yards and five TDs in the Green Wave’s 47-24 win against Cookeville.
Blake Surratt, Ensworth: In the Tigers’ 20-10 win against McCallie, Surratt finished with 14 tackles, one for loss, and also had a quarterback pressure and forced a fumble.
Hudson Tucker, Briarcrest Christian: Tucker completed 15-of-23 passes for 291 yards and four TDs in the Saints’ 56-14 win against Father Ryan.
Tae Walden Jr., Collierville: Walden hauled in five receptions for 164 yards and three TDs and also returned a punt 85 yards for another score in a 49-0 win against Brighton.
Jayden Weston, Cherokee: Weston rushed for 242 yards and four TDs on 23 carries in his team’s 60-30 win against Grainger.
JC White, Lipscomb Academy: White threw for 400 yards on 24-of-29 completions and had three TDs in the Mustangs’ 49-24 win against Memphis University School.
Stanley Williams, Battle Creek: A sophomore receiver/defensive back, Williams had four catches for 115 yards, including a 95-yard TD, and also picked off two passes, returning one 50 yards for a score as the Grizzlies downed Moore County, 28-7.
Kason Woodson, Springfield: A junior quarterback, Woodson completed 14-of-18 passes for 316 yards and four TDs in his team’s 55-35 win against Station Camp.
