On November 15, Taehyung of BTS attended TIRTIR’s Los Angeles pop-up at 8175 Melrose Avenue. His appearance follows the label's announcement of him as its first global ambassador. The Winter Bear singer departed Incheon on the 12th, returning to the U.S. two weeks after appearing at Vogue World: Hollywood.

At the pop-up event, he tasted a drink called Matcha My Berry. As described in the menu, it is a blend of matcha, strawberry, and milk. After having a sip, V's reaction, described as “cute,” was widely shared online.

The moment follows earlier attention when he was filmed eating a pistachio croissant. Taehyung arrived in a loose, double-breasted tan suit with matching wide-leg trousers worn over a black tank.

He accessorized with layered gold chains, one bearing a red pendant engraved with a “K." Several gold rings, a black belt with gold hardware, and black shoes completed the look. A leopard-print scarf also draped his shoulders. After the matcha moment took over the social feeds, fans are saying that he is “viralhyung for a reason."

BTS Taehyung’s pistachio-croissant moment sparks global viral buzz

Taehyung’s pistachio-croissant moment, captured just after Celine’s Spring/Summer 2026 show at Paris Fashion Week on October 6th, spread rapidly online. Decked in full Celine, he arrived in a light-brown trench, a white shirt, and a black-and-cream abstract tie.

Outside La Pistacherie, the singer bought and ate a pistachio croissant, also tasting a Mini Beignet (Fourré à la Crème de Pistache). Photos and short clips of the tasting circulated widely across social platforms. About the Bangtan Boy's visit, the bakery owner told Daily Fashion News,

“V, we love you so much! My wife is your biggest fan. Thank you for visiting. We didn’t know you were coming—they said you were having a meal. Hopefully next time, we can meet!”

The pastry, identified as Fourré à la Crème et à la Pistache, prompted a surge in interest back in Seoul as well. Hi-Pie Official in Seoul confirmed their pistachio-cream croissant sold out more quickly after the footage, with the pâtisserie expressing its appreciation towards the K-pop idol.
