Real Madrid secured a 2-1 victory against Barcelona in the first Clasico of the campaign on October 26 at Santiago Bernabeu.

The La Liga match on Sunday saw its share of drama, including a heated confrontation after the final whistle between Real Madrid's Dani Carvajal and Barcelona's Lamine Yamal.

As the tempers rose, Vinicius Junior was also seen getting involved in the post-match brawl, along with the other members from both clubs joining in the kerfuffle.

Later, Vinicius issued a message to Real Madrid fans, addressing the Clasico's aftermath, mentioning that there was no intent 'to offend anyone.'

However, there was another incident that took place during the match involving Vinicius, which drew much attention.

Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring for Real Madrid from an assist by Jude Bellingham in the 22nd minute. Fermin Lopez netted the equalizer for Barcelona after being set up by Marcus Rashford in the 38th minute.

Bellingham, then, scored Madrid's winning goal from an assist by Eder Militao in the 43rd minute.

Los Blancos head coach Xabi Alonso decided to substitute Vinicius with Rodrygo in the 72nd minute of the match, and it appeared that the 25-year-old was not happy with the Spanish manager's call.

Following the substitution, Vinicius was seen furiously walking towards the dugout, followed by a tense exchange with Alonso before heading straight down the tunnel.

Vinicius' demeanour and behavior towards Alonso and his decision brought in heavy criticism, and now, the Brazilian has issued a public apology for his outburst.

What did Real Madrid's Vinicius Jr. say in his apology?

Vinicius took to his official social media account and apologised to Real Madrid fans for his reaction to his substitution, mentioning 'sometimes passion gets the better of him,' and wrote,

"Today I want to apologize to all the Madridistas for my reaction when I was substituted in the Clasico. Just as I have already done in person during today's training, I also want to apologize again to my teammates, the club, and the president."

"Sometimes passion gets the better of me because I always want to win and help my team. My competitive character stems from the love I feel for this club and everything it represents. I promise to keep fighting every second for the good of Real Madrid, as I have done since the first day."

This incident on Sunday led to several reports suggesting uncertainties about Vini's future at Los Blancos, along with reported issues between the winger and the club over a new contract.

While his apology clarifies doubts over his dedication and willingness to continue at Real Madrid, questions over his relationship with Alonso are now the new talk of the town.

Even though his statement extended apologies to the club, teammates, fans, and the president, Vini did not mention Alonso, especially when the incident's highlight was his behavior towards the coach. This omission has deepened the speculations about him and the 43-year-old manager's reportedly strained relationship.

While it remains to be seen what lies in Vini's future at Santiago Bernabeu, Real Madrid will now focus on facing Valencia in their next La Liga clash on November 1.
