J.J. McCarthy just made a huge announcement.

The Minnesota Vikings quarterback, 22, is expecting his first child with his fiancée, Katya Kuropas.

The baby is due in September.

The couple shared the exciting news on Instagram on May 21.

"The best surprises come when you least expect them. Our sweet baby boy is arriving in September and we couldn’t be happier," Kuropas captioned the post.

The couple included a carousel of photos and a video, including one where they held up a printout of the sonogram images.

Mom-to-be Kuropas was glowing in a casual yet stylish outfit during the photo shoot. She wore a tiny white crop that exposed her pregnant belly and a long-sleeve top draped over her shoulders. She paired the look with basic denim jeans and accessorized with a large cross around her neck.

McCarthy donned a long-sleeve white T-shirt paired with jeans.

JJ McCarthy and Katya Kuropas were high school sweethearts

The couple has been together since high school and got engaged in January 2024 after dating for five years. The NFL star proposed after the Wolverines won a national championship.

Kuropas moved with him to Sunfish Lake, Minnesota, after the Vikings drafted McCarthy with the 10th overall pick in 2024.

On January 19, 2024, he announced his engagement on Instagram with a sweet post that read, "Me, You and Marley Forever & Ever."

The couple donned all white in the photos and even included their dog Marley.

The Vikings QB proposed with an oval diamond ring.

A week after the proposal, McCarthy dropped another sweet post on Instagram praising his wife-to-be on her milestone birthday.

"Happy 21st to the woman of my dreams and my rock! Unconditionally grateful for the human you are and the impact you have had on me these past 5+ years. Our partnership is something I will cherish for the rest of my life because of how it enhances our ability to serve our mission in the world. Marley and I love you unconditionally," he wrote.
