The Minnesota Vikings are 4-0 in the regular season. They've played some great games so far, though they have had some easier opponents.
Week 4 featured their easiest matchup yet, as the Miami Dolphins are one of the worst teams in the NFL. But their horrible defense actually stopped Kyler Murray and this Vikings offense well for much of the day, holding them to no touchdowns.
That is their second game this year where they won without scoring a touchdown. As Rene Bugner on Twitter/x shared, the Vikings' 4-0 record with two touchdown-less games is the first time the NFL has seen that since the 1934 Detroit Lions.
Vikings make NFL history not seen since 1934 Lions
"List of all the teams with a 4-0 start to an NFL season that failed to score an offensive touchdown in two of those games: 1922 Chicago Cardinals, 1923 Chicago Cardinals, 1934 Detroit Lions, 2026 Minnesota Vikings," Bugner shared.
This is a completely ridiculous statistic for the Vikings, but it's such a great stat for this year's Vikings team. Their defense and special teams are elite, but the offense is incredibly lackluster.
Their Week 2 win over the Chicago Bears was a 9-3 sloppy victory, with Will Reichard hitting three field goals. Then in Week 4, Reichard hit five field goals in a 15-10 victory over the Dolphins.

Those two weeks helped make NFL history, as the Vikings are now the first team in 92 years to have two of their wins amid a 4-0 start come without scoring a touchdown.
Brian Flores and his incredible defense, alongside Reichard and the Vikings' elite special teams unit, have helped the Vikings get off to a strong start this year.
Murray has been underwhelming at best, but with elite defense and special teams, and an offense that's just good enough to get into field goal range for Reichard, the Vikings have managed to get off to a 4-0 start, making some incredible history in the process.
