The Minnesota Vikings pulled off a win over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, and boy, was it sweet for them. It's always exciting when two NFC North teams go at it, and for the Vikings, beating the Packers is one of their goals going into any season.
Minnesota won 39-22 over Green Bay, and that was largely without their starting quarterback, Kyler Murray. That's because Murray exited the game during the first quarter after suffering a concussion, and it's not certain when he'll be back.
With Murray out, Carson Wentz stepped in. So, Wentz helped pull off that incredible win. One might think that means Wentz could earn the starting role at Minnesota, but not so fast.

According to Ian Rapoport, Wentz likely won't get the nod to start, at least anytime soon. Speaking on "The Pat McAfee Show," the NFL insider says that Murray will likely get lots of time to prove himself with the Vikings when he comes back.
"Everyone was looking forward to seeing the different dimensions this offense can have with a really dynamic quarterback who could move to throw," Rapoport said on the show. "I'd be surprised if [Wentz] was their starting quarterback."
He added, "Kyler is going to come back, and I would expect it to be him."
It's definitely the case that the Vikings didn't sign Murray in free agency to have him sit on the bench. So, even though Wentz put on a good show, don't expect the understudy to take over in the Twin Cities just yet.
