Battle of the Rinks proved to be a strong engagement driver, with thousands of fans participating across all 23 WHL markets, generating a substantial 2.85 million points and driving a 41% year-over-year increase in total playoff minutes viewed on the platform.

The Everett Silvertips secured the competition’s grand prize: a $25,000 Victory+ fan experience investment that will fund a premier in-arena celebration for supporters next season. In one of the competition’s most remarkable outcomes, Everett claimed the top spot despite recording nearly half the participant total of runner-up Prince Albert Raiders. Prince Albert’s second-place finish was equally notable, with one of the league’s smallest markets emerging as one of its most active streaming fanbases. Both outcomes underscore the outsized passion and engagement of smaller WHL communities.

“What an unbelievable time to be a Silvertip,” said Casey Bryant, Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations for the Everett Silvertips. “Winning the WHL Championship on the ice was a historic milestone, but seeing our fans win the Battle of the Rinks off the ice makes this season truly unforgettable. Silvertip Country showed up in record numbers, both at Angel of the Winds Arena and on the broadcast stream, and we couldn’t be more grateful. We can’t wait to use this $25,000 prize from Victory+ to give back to our fans with a premier Fan Experience Night next season as we look toward the Memorial Cup.”

The competition also rewarded individual fandom at the highest level. Five fans earned $5,000 cash prizes for topping the streaming leaderboard, with winners representing powerhouse communities in Everett, Kelowna, and Prince Albert. The results reinforced the Victory+ fan-first philosophy and proved that deeply engaged communities can compete with, and outperform, significantly larger markets when access barriers are removed.

Victory+ was built to remove barriers for fans, expand access to the game, and create deeper engagement between teams and their communities. Seeing that vision come to life across the WHL this season has been incredibly rewarding.”
