Tennis icon Venus Williams is set to compete in the 2026 Australian Open as the eldest participant in women's singles history.

At 45 years old, former World No. 1 Williams will be making her 22nd appearance in Melbourne after receiving a wild card entry. The legend hasn't played in the Australian Open since 2021, but began a surprising return to the tennis court last summer.

The two-time finalist will face off with Serbian star Olga Danilovic in the first round, and if she continues, fans could see an all-star matchup between Williams and fellow American Coco Gauff.

Here is everything you need to know about Venus Williams' appearance at the Australian Open, including the latest results from the tournament.

When is Venus Williams' next match at Australian Open 2026?
