Vanna White has an unbreakable bond with Pat Sajak.
The “Wheel of Fortune” letter-turner, 68, confirmed that she’s still on good terms with Sajak, 78, nearly one year after he left the long-running game show.
“We’re friends. We have dinner! Yeah, he’s still in my life,” White told TV Insider at Hulu’s Get Real event last week.
Sajak hosted “Wheel of Fortune” from 1981 until his final episode in June 2024.
White, who has been on the show since 1982, said that her relationship with Sajak hasn’t changed even though they’re no longer co-workers.
“It’s like slipping into something very comfortable,” she said of when they get together. “I mean that in the best possible way. It’s just comfortable.”
But White recalled that she initially felt uneasy about Sajak’s exit from the show after 41 years.
“It was sad for me in a way because [at the time] I didn’t know what the future held,” she told the outlet. “It was ending an unbelievable era!”
As for Ryan Seacrest becoming the new host in Sept. 2024, White said, “Ryan did his homework. He rehearsed and rehearsed and rehearsed. He also said to me, ‘I am not replacing Pat Sajak because no one could – ever. I am just stepping in.’”
“That made me feel good because, as Ryan said, he’s just stepping in – he’s not trying to prove anything,” she added.
White previously admitted that she was taken aback when Sajak revealed to her that he was ready to bow out.
“When Pat told me he was going to retire, it’s like, ‘Oh my gosh. I’m not sure that I’m ready to retire,’” she told “GMA” in Nov. 2023. “So, when I thought about it and thought about it… and I just wasn’t ready to retire.”
She added: “I love my job. I love being here.”
In 2019, White told Fox News that the only argument she’s ever had with Sajak was about putting ketchup on a hotdog.
At the Hulu’s Get Real event, White exclusively told The Post that Seacrest “did a good job stepping in” for Sajak.
She also gushed over the pair recently shooting the show in Hawaii. “We had so much fun and he’s such a character,” she said. “I mean, him falling into the water and doing all those fun things. We had a great time.”
White is set to be reunited with Sajak on the upcoming season of “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune.” The episodes taped in 2024 and will start airing on April 30.
