Mikayla Blakes has been on an absolute tear of late.
The Vanderbilt Commodores' star guard has just completed a three-game stretch where she scored 105 points -- a cool 35.0 per-game average. In doing so, Blakes -- the nation's leading scorer -- just made some NCAA basketball history that not even college basketball's all-time top scorer achieved.
Blakes is the third player in men's and women's college basketball history to score at least 100 points over a three-game span in which her team won every game and every opponent was a ranked in the AP's top 25.
The others? Paige Bueckers at UConn and Stephen Curry at Davidson. Despite her many other accolades, Caitlin Clark never had a run quite like this when she played at Iowa.

In the past eight days, Blakes led fifth-ranked Vanderbilt (now 24-2) to wins over Kentucky, Oklahoma and Texas in SEC play, scoring 37, 34 and 34 points respectively.
The sophomore leads the country in scoring at 26.2 points per game and is considered a national player of the year frontrunner.
