V.J. Edgecombe was in action when the Philadelphia 76ers crossed swords against the Chicago Bulls at the United Center on Tuesday. The rookie sensation was once again in the starting lineup, with Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, Jabari Walker and Kelly Oubre Jr.
The Sixers' Rookie of the Year frontrunner began the game by sinking a 3-pointer to open his account in the scoring column. Philadelphia scored 31 points with over 4 minutes left in the first quarter, and Edgecombe's ability to find his teammates once again was on full display.
The talented rookie kept his foot on the accelerator and continued to put shots last in the period. He knocked down another 3-pointer, but missed three attempts from inside the arc.
After the first quarter, V.J. Edgecombe had six points on 2 of 5 shooting, including 2 of 2 from beyond the arc. He also recorded two rebounds and two assists in nine minutes.
