The United States are set to embark on a once-in-a-lifetime journey through the 2026 FIFA World Cup as they host soccer's greatest tournament this coming summer.
Throughout the coming competition, the USMNT will hope not only to put forth a generational performance on home soil at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, but also look to grow the sport in this country.
To help them on this journey, U.S. Soccer and official apparel partner Nike have released the jerseys that will be worn by the players hoping to rewrite the sport's history in this country while looking sharp in the process.
The Sporting News brings you a first look at the USMNT kits officially unveiled on March 16 ahead of the coming competition.

The U.S. men's national soccer team unveiled a new primary (home) kit and a secondary (away) jersey three months before the kickoff of the 2026 tournament on home soil.
According to Nike and U.S. Soccer, the players had unparalleled input on how this design was ultimately produced.
"Nike worked closely with U.S. Soccer and players throughout the design process, incorporating athlete feedback to authentically represent the team's identity," U.S. Soccer said in their official release.
"Through a series of design workshops and listening sessions, USMNT players provided input on everything from fabric weight to seam placement. Players also provided feedback on fit, mobility and breathability, helping Nike create jerseys built to perform in the high-intensity conditions expected during the summer World Cup."

2026 USMNT home kit

The white-backed home kit features a flag-waving stripes design that is a variation on the classic hoops look.
The stripes appear to be waving as if on a flag caught in the breeze, in front of the white background with the USA badge in the upper corner.
The back of the kit features a large blocked-out area for the nameplate of the kit, where the pattern stops so the number and name can be featured.

The secondary, or "away" kit, features a black background that at first glance appears to be plain but actually boasts a stars design that is revealed in the slight texture of the jersey.
It features one slight red stripe that starts at the top of the shoulder and runs down the back of the shoulder blade into the underarm, while otherwise looking clean throughout.
The star texture is extremely subtle, as both the background and the design are black, with the stars stitched into the kit in vertical lines.
2026 USMNT goalkeeper kit
The USMNT goalkeeper kit for the 2026 World Cup boasts a green background with varying shades of green across the design.
The most striking feature of the keeper shirt is the massive star on the front, which covers the stomach area and stretches all the way up to the collar. The rest of the kit behind the front star features stars splattered across a background that includes a spray-paint design meant to invoke flag-waving, combining the two home and away kits in a way.
