The men's ice hockey gold medal game is finally here, and it features 50 of the best NHL players in the world right now. The United States and Canada were the two favorites entering the Olympics, and despite some challenges along the way, the two sides will now meet to decide gold.
Canada was the best team in the preliminary rounds, winning its first three games in dominant fashion. However, the Canadians were tested in their two knockout-stage games, winning the quarterfinal vs. Czechia in overtime and beating Finland in the final minute of the semifinals.
The big story for Canada is the health of captain Sidney Crosby, who left the quarterfinal with an injury and did not play in the semifinals. This could be Crosby's last chance to play in an Olympic game, so odds are he will do everything he can to play.
On the other side, the United States was also undefeated in the preliminary rounds but got a scare vs. Sweden in the quarterfinals. However, Quinn Hughes scored the overtime winner, which was followed by a dominant win over Slovakia in the semifinals.

The reigning NHL MVP, American goalie Connor Hellebuyck, has been a force in net, stopping 90 of the 95 shots he's faced. For the United States to win on Sunday, he will need to bring his A-game.
The winner will not only earn a gold medal, but the team will also get bragging rights for at least the next four years. This is likely to be one of the most anticipated hockey games in recent memory.
