After winning gold in the women's halfpipe in Beijing four years ago, Gu has a legitimate chance at going back-to-back and putting the disappointment of her big air silver medal behind her.

Gu finished fifth in the qualifying round, posting a top score of 86.50. She won the qualifying round in 2022 with a score of 95.50, and her hope is that she can come close to replicating that dominance in her final event of these Olympics on Saturday.
