Former World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins suffered a serious shoulder injury during his match against Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel 2025 in Perth. The injury forced the Visionary to relinquish his World Heavyweight Championship and WWE to pivot the storyline of The Vision’s massive breakup.
Rollins recently confirmed that he expects to be out of action for around six months. His absence leaves a major gap in WWE, especially ahead of WarGames and the upcoming Road to WrestleMania.
The Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes addressed Rollins’ injury in an appearance on All The Smoke recently and provided an update on the Visionary. The American Nightmare stated that Rollins had undergone surgery, which means that the star could start his rehab and get ready in the next few months for a massive return.

Will Seth Rollins return at Royal Rumble 2026?
WWE Royal Rumble is set to feature in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and a number of surprises could be expected from the event. However, Seth Rollins’ return at the Royal Rumble doesn’t seem to be realistic as of now.
Considering the rehab time needed for Seth to recover, it won’t be easy for the star to make his return at the PLE. However, considering the Visionary’s dedication for WWE, fans will have to wait and see if Rollins can work hard and do the impossible.
