Unfortunate update on major AEW star's return [Reports]

A recent report provided a disheartening update regarding a popular AEW star's anticipated return to action. The star sustained an injury sometime ago and has been out of action for over three months.

The major AEW star Hologram suffered an injury a few months back during a backstage attack and is still out of action. The masked star last competed in a match on Dynamite in September, where he teamed with The Conglomeration to defeat the Don Callis Family. He was also slated for a feud with the debutant, El Clon.

However, the feud couldn't continue after Hologram got injured. Meanwhile, Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer provided an update on the 27-year-old star's status. Alvarez reported that Hologram is still a long way from returning to action:

“Hologram is still a long way away from returning,” Alvarez reported.

Before sustaining the injury, Hologram was set to challenge Kyle Fletcher for the TNT Championship as well. Meanwhile, All Elite Wrestling recently announced the TV return of Hologram's nemesis, El Clon, for Collision in January 2026, who could be making his in-ring debut in the company.

Another AEW name recently opened up on his potential return date

The AEW veteran, Dustin Rhodes recently reflected on when he could be ready for a return. Dustin has been out of action since July, as he had to undergo double knee replacement surgery. A fan on X social media recently asked about Rhodes about the condition in his knee. The Natural said that while they still hurt, he should be back by March 2026:

"They still hurt a bit, especially in the mornings. I do have a good ways to go. Remember I am 56 and pushing hard, just takes time. Not young anymore. Prob March I should be ready to kill everyone lol. Maybe, I am pushing hard my man," Dustin wrote.

Fans will have to wait and see when Dustin will be back on TV.
