A massive update has emerged on a beloved star in AEW recently. The report concerns the on-screen return of the talent for a hiatus of more than a month.

Anna Jay has not wrestled on AEW TV since the November 19 episode of Collision. In her last showdown, she teamed up with Tay Melo against Marina Shafir and Megan Bayne in the All Elite Wrestling AEW Women's World Tag Team Title Tournament Quarter Final. However, there are reports that Jay's contract is expected to be up soon with Tony Khan's promotion.

According to Dave Metlzer on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Anna's contract is expected to expire in the first few months of 2026. As of now, she has not signed a new deal with AEW, and many believe she may leave. Therefore, there are high chances that Tony Khan might not bring back Jay's to the programming moving forward as long as she does not sign a new contract.

There have been massive rumblings around Anna Jay in the last few weeks in the world of professional wrestling. Only time will tell what is in store for the 27-year-old in the industry moving forward.

Dave Meltzer predicts Anna Jay's future in WWE if she leaves AEW down the line

Anna Jay has been a fan favorite for a long time in All Elite Wrestling. She has impressed many with her character, and people believe she has huge potential in the wrestling business. Some reports suggested that Jay could be looking to sign with WWE down the line.

As per Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jay might start with NXT if she ends up with WWE in 2026. The wrestling analyst added that, currently, the Stamford-based promotion is stacked with talent. Therefore, Anna might have to make a big impact to get the attention of the sports entertainment juggernaut.

Anna Jay has been in the wrestling business since 2019. In her career, she has competed in promotions like ROH, NJPW, STARDOM, along All Elite Wrestling. It will be interesting to see where she will end up in 2026 if she leaves the Jacksonville-based promotion.
