Miami legend Michael Irvin went viral after the No. 10-ranked Hurricanes upset the No. 2-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes 24-14 in the College Football Playoff quarterfinal. He performed his signature B.T.A. celebration on Wednesday, swinging his belt at a Gatorade cooler.

He previously performed the celebration after Miami beat Texas A&M on Dec. 20. The Hurricanes advanced to the Fiesta Bowl semifinals against the winner of the Georgia-Ole Miss game on Jan. 8.

Michael Irvin made headlines following Miami’s win with a memorable postgame moment with Hurricanes coach Mario Cristobal. During an on-field interview, the Cowboys legend kissed Cristobal, calling it a “Godfather kiss.”
Irvin explained that the gesture was to appreciate Cristobal for the sacrifices he has made for the program. Despite having opportunities elsewhere, Cristobal chose to commit to Miami. He stressed the importance of the job to the university, the city and its football culture.
The Hurricanes legend has a close bond with Cristobal, revealing that the coach reached out to him last year. Cristobal asked Irvin to stay involved with the program to help mentor younger players. Irvin said he gladly answered the call out of respect for Cristobal.
