Manga and art book publisher UDON Entertainment announced on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, that it has partnered with the crowdfunding platform, Zoop, to launch Mega Man Adventures, Volume 1 – Deluxe Edition Hardcover, a collection of Archie Comics‘ Mega Man series by Ian Flynn, who also served as the lead writer on the publisher’s Sonic the Hedgehog comics (in fact, both of Flynn’s video game adaptations were so popular among readers that Archie published two Mega Man and Sonic crossover series, respectively titled Worlds Collide and Worlds Unite). At the time of the publication of this article, UDON has yet to reveal the launch date for its crowdfunding campaign.
Based on CAPCOM‘s franchise of the same name (though it’s known as Rock Man in Japan), Archie Comics initially announced Flynn’s Mega Man series at New York Comic Con 2010, with its publication beginning the following year, in April 2011, and running until 2015. While the adaptation doesn’t follow the exact events of the games, its basic premise is the same. Set on Earth in a not-so-distant future where robots can think and act on their own, Mega Man Adventures follows the rise of a new kind of hero, when the brilliant but twisted Dr. Wily launches a campaign for world domination using his powerful Robot Masters, Rock, a humble helper robot created by Wily’s old colleague, volunteers to be transformed into a combat robot—becoming Mega Man, a techno-golem designed to stand against Wily’s mechanical army and defend humanity.

This collection brings together the fan-favorite Mega Man issues #1–12, which feature Rock’s first battles against the Robot Masters and an unforgettable face-off with Dr. Wily. And that’s not all—this edition will feature a brand-new 7-page story from Flynn and Ryan Jampole, exclusive foil cover treatment, nine trading cards, and a special folded poster!
“UDON have been working with the nice folks at Archie to gather all of the material needed to create these collections, and ensure that these classic stories look their best,” the publisher notes on its website. “Plus, each volume will include a brand-new short story set in this classic universe, produced by creators that worked on these original stories! More details are coming soon regarding these epic new collections, including release dates and issue line-ups. Stay tuned!”
