NEW YORK, Sept. 10, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — U.S. wholesale inflation accelerated in August, adding fresh uncertainty to financial markets ahead of the Federal Reserve’s September policy meeting. The Producer Price Index (PPI) rose 0.4% in August and 5.4% from a year earlier, up from 4.8% in July.
