The Philadelphia 76ers are now eliminated from the NBA Playoffs after getting swept by the New York Knicks, who absolutely look like the best team in the Eastern Conference.
It was an eye-opening series for the 76ers because they were utterly outclassed by the Knicks. Moving forward, Tyrese Maxey and the rest of the 76ers organization are back to the drawing board to find solutions to make it further than the second round.
Tyrese Maxey knows the Knicks outmatched the 76ers
After four games, it was clear that the Knicks were dominant against the 76ers. The first round showed that the Knicks can have some vulnerabilities, but since Game 5 of their series against the Atlanta Hawks, they have been unstoppable.
The 76ers might have beaten the Boston Celtics by coming back from 3-1 down, but it is clear that the Knicks are the much better team. Maxey and the rest of the 76ers know this, which is why they accepted the loss with honor.

After the game, the atmosphere was quite somber for the 76ers. However, there was a sense of acceptance with the players and coaches because they knew the Knicks had been out of this world in recent weeks.
"Experience really does matter. I was talking to Kyle about it, that group over there. They've been together for a minute. They added Mikal, of course, but Jalen, Josh, Mitch, those guys - they're battle-tested," Maxey said about the difference in experience between Philly and New York.
Maxey will surely be back as the 76ers' star player, but Daryl Morey and the front office have some work to do. They have to set the 76ers up for success because they still have the potential to be a top team in the East.
